Ergobaby - Embrace - Newborn Carrier - Black

A soft structured carrier made from stretchy knit fabric and designed specifically for newborns. Its lightweight, jersey-like material molds around baby and parent, offering a wrap-style feel with buckle convenience.
Made from breathable, lightweight-knit cotton/polyester blend.

Age and Weight
From newborn: 7 lb (3.2 kg) minimum (must also be at least 20″/50 cm tall)
Up to around 12 months: 25 lb (11.3 kg) maximum

Adjustability
Waistband rolls inwards twice for newborn mode (shorter, narrower panel) and unrolls later for older infants.
Padded shoulder straps cross in the back; soft, unpadded waistband.
Body panel adjusts height (by ~9 cm) and width (from ~30 cm to ~25 cm when folded)

Positions
• Front-facing in (newborn mode) from 7 lb (3.2 kg) when the waistband is folded once or twice and the carrier fits securely
• Front-facing out (world-facing) from around 6 months, It is not necessary for healthy development, and it shifts the wearer’s centre of gravity forward, which may cause discomfort. Children must not sleep while world-facing—always monitor their airway and turn them back inward-facing if they show signs of overstimulation or slumping.
• Front-facing out (world-facing) from around 5–6 months, when baby has strong neck control
• Hip carry from around 4+ months
